You must have eaten lababdar paneer in restaurants, it is lababdar like its name. It is also very easy to make it at home. The balanced flavor of whole spices adds life to it.

First, cut the paneer into cubes and keep it aside. While cutting paneer, keep in mind that the cubes should not be too small.
Now put 3 spoons of butter and one spoon of oil in a pan and add a bay leaf, cinnamon, green chillies, and garlic-ginger paste and fry till the aroma comes.
Add chopped onion to it and cook till it turns golden brown.
After the onion is cooked, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder to it and mix it well. During this, keep your gas flame low. Now add tomato puree to it and stir well.
Keep it covered for about 7-10 minutes to cook. Keep stirring the spices in between, so that they do not burn. Now add cashew paste to it and cook it like this till the masala leaves the oil.
Now add two and a half cups of water and salt as per taste. Mix everything and cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Now add paneer cubes to this thick gravy and mix well. Add two spoons of cream to it and cook for 5 more minutes. Finally, add a pinch of garam masala and kasoori methi to it, after stirring for 2 minutes, cover it for a while.
Your paneer lababdar is ready. Serve by pouring cream on top and garnishing with coriander leaves.
You can eat it with naan or roti.

1 tsp cashew paste
